The Hills Shire Council approved a Planning Proposal for the proposed site at 93 – 107 Cecil Avenue and 9 – 10 Roger Place, Castle Hill submitted by Merck Property Pty Ltd, a Merc Capital Group company, for a change in zoning which will allow the site to be developed into a Mixed Use site that can accommodate 460 residential apartments and 8,025m2 of commercial floor space. This approval means that the site around the Castle Hill Station precinct can be better utilised for residential development with complementary employment generating uses such as business premises, small scale retail premises and cafes / restaurants. These plans are in line with the North West Rail Link Strategy as outlined by the NSW Department of Planning and Environment.

The attention to detail by the planners and architects has created a project that has no rival in the area, with a level of amenity usually associated with luxury residential areas. The Council was suitably impressed with the proposed design and this is reflected in the fact that the Planning Proposal was approved in record time.
